Is this how you feel about your teaching job?
If so, you're in luck! Angela Watson (of
The Cornerstone For Teachers) has written a new book where she addresses how to avoid cynicism, discouragement, and burn-out by having a positive mindset.
I was so thankful to have the opportunity to review
Awakened. It came at a good time: my summer is halfway over (sigh...), and I've been super apprehensive about this fall. I'll be teaching Kindergarten for the first time, and I'll be partnered with a general education teacher who is less than competent.
And, if I'm going to be honest, I've had a lot of the negative thoughts throughout my six years of teaching that Angela outlines in the book. I've been a worry-er. I've jumped to pessimistic conclusions. I've taken things personally. I've stressed out about the what-ifs.
But all that can change! Angela shows that through positive self-talk and reframing, you can transform your mindset! She takes you through step by step in an easy-to-read, relate-able, and relevant way. This book is valuable to every teacher, no matter where they are in their journey!
