Hi there!
I'm Sarah, and I've taught in public schools for five years in three different states. Here's the breakdown:
For two years I taught 2nd - 4th graders with hearing loss in California how to listen and to speak.
For the next two years, I was a special education resource room teacher at a charter school in Michigan for grades K-8.
And for one year (and counting), I've been teaching 4th - 5th graders with hearing loss in Texas.
Below are some links to some of my favorite posts. If you're new here, feel free to peruse. If you've been a long time follower (hi mom!), enjoy the walk down memory lane...
I write about what it's really like to teach.
I write about teaching children with hearing loss.
I write about funny things my students say.
I write about educational issues in today's society.
I write about fun things I do in the classroom.
Oh yeah, and how could I forget about my dog and my cats?
