Only five days left until Christmas vacation!! Is anyone doing anything educational in their classrooms this week? Because my handwritten plans fit onto a post-it note (literally!). I'll break it down for you:

Monday: field trip
Tuesday: How the Grinch Stole Christmas with related activities
Wednesday: The Polar Express with related acitivities
Thursday: Santa's workshop (Christmas themed centers!)
Friday: Christmas party

Yep! Then it's off to Michigan to spend the holidays with family :)

Yes, Sarah, I have poured on the lessons this week for my 9th graders. Christmas vacation starts at the end of this last school week until vacation and not a minute before...signed Mr. Scrooge

If by educational you mean -

Listen to A New Improved Santa and draw your favorite improved Santa.

Listen to Dream Snow and predict what the animals are.

Use letters in Christmas to make at least 10 words.

Listen to Mouse's First Christmas and then make their own page like the book using descriptions of a Christmas item.

Listen to If You Take a Mouse to the Movies and predict what will happen next.

Listen to Light the Lights and make a Venn diagram comparing Christmas and Hanukkah.

Throw in a Christmas program and the fact that I'm taking off Thursday and Friday (to head to an out of state graduation) and it looks like a pretty good week! Enjoy yours too!
