How do you tell your cat that you are VERY SORRY that you accidentally closed her paw in the door (evoking a giant cat scream-yelp)?? I can't stand the reproachful looks anymore....

Get your husband to do something worse. Cats have short memories. Or, don't feed it for a few days. She will be all over you with attention.
Question: Has any of your cats ever lost his/her voice before? One of my cats lost his "voice" a few days ago and his meow is a pitiful scratchy noise and I didn't really know that was possible! It sounds like he took up smoking...just curious from one cat owner to another...
