We're in Michigan this week for a mini-vacation with my husband's family! We've been having a lovely time, and I can't wait to show you pictures later on. But for now I thought I'd share a crafty little project I did to spruce up our dining area:
I cut out silhouettes of all the places we've lived, then glued down hearts in our specific cities:
Then I framed them in a display!
Now, when someone asks me where I'm from, I can just point to the wall!

I don't see any hearts on Texas?
I adore this idea!! I hope you don't mind if I "steal" it? I live far away from my family, and I think this would be a great little touch to bring "home" into my new home. :)
What a great idea and how clever to make it a wall display! Thanks for sharing and enjoy your Father's Day!
Cool idea!! Good thing you're not a "military brat" or the whole wall might be covered! Love you, Mom
So great! I love how you included the UP in MI. :) Also, what's with the heart to the left of Paris? Is that for Orleans?

That is an amazing idea! I love it.
I love this idea! It looks wonderful :)
@teachj : There is a heart on there but I took it out of the picture so as not to reveal our location :)
@MB : Steal away :)
@rebekah: Yes that's Orleans!!
That turned out too perfect! I may steal this idea ;)
I've been thinking of doing something like this for my kids. We've lived in enough places to do a whole display!
this is TOO awesome... you should sell these in your etsy shop!!!
What an awesome idea! I would hate to see what my personal wall would look like though. Maybe it should only be from when we got married? That's still been quite a bit so far. Hmmm...being military is hard for this project. But maybe not! We'll just have a large wall! I love it!
