where's the remote control?

I'd love to have a remote control for life.

We're back to school today and it's a whopping ten weeks until our next break. Honestly, if I had a remote control, I'd fast forward to June!

In the meantime, I'm going to remember that this school year has been the EASIEST of my career. I only have eight kids. I practically just teach one grade level. I work with a fantastic team of teachers. None of my kids have major behavior issues and none of their parents are difficult (can I hear an AMEN?!). I've been off my principal's radar and have had no major issues with administration.

It's been an easy, breezy, beautiful year! I should probably just focus on that instead of the TEN. MORE. WEEKS.

You jusdt have that 'back to school' feeling that we all get. I bet by lunch time you'd forgotten the holiday. Do enjoy each day. Those youngsters will make sure each day will be different!

The first couple days this week will be full of sleepiness, huh? I remember that's how I felt when I went back every time!

My kids go back tomorrow - we are weird here in South Carolina - I don't think in all my time as a parent of school-aged kids have we ever gone back on a Monday from any break. I'm pretty sure we have some long weekends in those 10 weeks until spring break (if it's that long here - I don't even really know when spring break is here) - Anyway - hang in there, June will be here before you know it and staying off the principal's radar is a good thing - means you are doing nothing wrong so far - lol - See you in the postings - E :)

I feel you! I have a wonderful class that I enjoy every minute. A real treat this year...but even the kids admitted to not wanting to come back quite yet this morning. We spent a few minutes together mapping out the next break. It was too cute when one student admitted to not sleeping well last night, "like the first day of school," he said. You said it, kid, me too...but who admits that to someone who remembers ever word one udders?

I'm prepared to have 3 week winter breaks from now on. I have to go back on Wednesday, and I am so not ready. I feel your pain. But hey, at least you've got a good group of kids this year. :)

Holy crap I'm jealous! We got 2 weeks at Christmas and then we have a 15 week stretch until Spring Break...so as of right now, we've been back for 2 weeks and have another 13 to go! Thankfully, after break there are only 8 weeks until summer. They really should equal out the time a little.
