Next Job, Please

Well.... I didn't get the job. It was VERY considerate of them to tell me today instead of making me wait for three weeks as they had originally indicated. They decided to go with two people they knew, even though I was an "outstanding candidate" and it was a "very difficult decision".

This new development means that next year I will not be a teacher of the deaf/hard-of-hearing. Although I know that the Lord has a plan in all of this, it still does funny things in my mind to think of myself teaching any other population. For some reason, I was pretty convinced it was my destiny. My only other options are general ed, or a different branch of special ed. Or not teach at all (YIKES!). I'm really looking forward to see how the Lord will provide in this situation.... I just need to be patient (ha!).

We're very, very disappointed as you are, Princess.

We'll be praying that the LORD will give you the patience and flexibility to accept the next phase of your life that He has worked out for you and Max.

Proud of you, Dad

Hmmmm...God is Good. He loves you. He works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. He gives us the desires of our hearts. All that sounds prettty appealing. Keep your eyes wide open. Apparently, you have no need to worry. He will deliver. He doesn't lie and He is in control.

Last year I was given a teaching assignment that I felt was unfair, undignified, and unwanted. I was NOT happy. I just finished that school year. It was one of the BEST experiences of my 29 years of teaching. God delivers! He will put you in a place where you can shine if you trust Him.

It sure seems like it's WHO you know and not WHAT you know that gets one ahead in this world! However, we have a Sovereign God who will always work out His will for you!! Lots of love and hugs, Mom

I remember my first questionable teaching assignment; with secondary certification in psychology,I was hired to teach severely devolopmentally disabled adults in their home setting, which happened to be the back buildings at a large institution.I learned a LOT!! (Such as not to turn my back on a student who just lost his coffee break privilege. The bruises took a minute to fade.)

I can't say much of anything else that people have not already said, other than to agree with you and others that God will take care of you. You are actively seeking his guidance, so he will provide. My prayers are with you.
