I got my book... do you have yours?

If you haven't seen this remake of "I gotta feeling" (Black Eyed Peas) sung by the administration and students of Ocoee Middle School, you are missing out! It will totally make you smile :) One of the teachers at my school showed this video to her fifth graders to pump them up for summer reading and they all loved it!

I've already started off my summer reading list with The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie. Any story where an eleven year-old girl tries to solve a murder is going to be a hit with me!

What are you reading these days?

I really love this video! I was just searching for reading charts to start tracking their summer reading. I'll show this to my kids tonight when I put up the charts. (brag alert) My daughter just came in 1st for most books read in 2nd grade at her school!

I posted a link to this post on my own blog as well. I love the video but youtube is blocked in my building so I can't show it to my students.

I am reading one baby related nonfiction book and a novel entitled "The birth of Love" which looks at birth in 3 different time periods: 1865, 2009, and 2175...
